This was from a sermon about a month ago by my pastor (Dr. Kirk Walters) at my home church in Birmingham, AL but this quote totally resonates with me & it is something that has come up in several one on ones that I've had recently. Often times it is as simple as asking God what He wants to teach us during those moments of hurt & pain and other times it is a conscious decision to allow growth to happen out of that pain. We can't control the circumstances but we can control our reaction and what we do with the outcome. Give it to God, focus on Him instead & ask Him to show you something outside of yourself. When we stop focusing on our hurt & pain, He can bring that healing that we so desperately need and we can see the healing that He is offering!!! #preach #truth #beautyfromashes
