Amen!

This morning I spent a few hours deep cleaning the common areas of our house here in Mexico. I'm sad to say it's been a while since this has been done. I moved furniture, lifted and beat rugs, etc. I also did all of this cleaning with this one, single product! Bathroom (toilet, sink, mirror), Living Room (leather couch, wood & glass table, plastic & glass tv) and Kitchen (granite counter tops, enamel stove top, stainless steel sink) as well as mopped the tile floors. All with the same product! Best part is this only costs $28.95 retail ($22.00 wholesale) for the small bottle & I only used 2.5 capfuls for all of my cleaning today! Want to give it try? #taketheoilyplunge #theoilyplunge #essentialoils #thieveshouseholdcleaner #youngliving#yleo

Satan REALLY doesn't want me to write this blog! I have now "accidentally" erased a second HUGE portion of it and can't get it back! Joke's on you, sucka, cause this will get done!! #spiritualwarfare

One thing I love about 7th Heaven is that I've watched 10 episodes before a "bad word" was used and even then it was in the heat of a drunken moment and only once! #familyvalues #morals #functionalfamily #untillaterseasons

Don't miss another email update about all that God is doing here with YWAM San Diego/Baja, the things I'm learning and how you can get involved! Not on my mailing list? Let's fix that, pronto: http://bit.ly/1vfw9Vl

So frustrating when part of my newest blog is "accidentally" deleted when I added a picture. UGH!!! I've lost my train of thought now so I'll have to come back to it later, hopefully it will be ready for your mailboxes in the morning. For now, I'll just watch another episode of 7th Heaven! Take that, technology! #exceptiamwatchingonmycomputer

Ok, all you church folk! I'm looking for some OLD VBS materials/boxes/tins. I know many of you run a VBS (Vacation Bible School) at your church each year and I know many of you use Group Publishing (personally my favorite) or LifeWay. Some use something completely different. Often, after you use this kit, it sits around collecting dust. We would LOVE to put this to use and get it off your hands. We are in need of any OLD ones that you guys aren't using anymore. We have the Panda Express by Group from several years ago but we are wanting to expand our VBS library so that we can start running kid's camps here on campus for our missionary kids as well as the occasional family teams we have coming. If you (or your church's children's ministry) have an old VBS kit (director book, teacher books, music, videos, rotation station leader books, etc) and would like to donate them to our missions organization, please mail them to: Sheril Brasher, Director Little Builders Preschool c/o YWAM San Diego/Baja 100 West 35th Street, Suite R National City, CA 91950

Teacher/Homeschool friends: As you are coming to the end of another school year, getting ready to sort, throw away, pack up your classrooms, please consider donating any school supplies, teacher resources or old curriculum, homeschool currículum, etc to our missions organization! We are always in need of these things. Any grade level is acceptable as even though we currently only run a preschool we are in the planning stages of starting an international, bilingual k-12 school! We also have several missionary families that homeschool so any curriculum you aren't using can help ease the financial burden to these families! Any donations can be sent to: Sheril Brasher, Tijuana C/O YWAM San Diego/Baja 100 West 35th Street, Suite R National City, CA 91950 Not a teacher? We can still use basic supplies like markers, crayons, stickers, construction paper, scissors, paint, dot markers, craft sets, etc! PS, can't afford to send supplies? Write me a letter!!

Thank you so very much for the birthday wishes today! I received about 300 or so via social media and another dozen or so via text messages plus the hundred or so in person here in Mexico (not including all the times the preschoolers said/sang to me this morning and the roughly thousand times Sergio wished me a Happy Birthday)! I feel overwhelmingly loved and am very grateful that you took a few moments out of your day to acknowledge me! It honestly meant the world to me, more than you will ever know!!! For those who have been praying for me today, they have been felt & I have survived the day! You guys are amazing and I feel blessed to call you friends, brothers & sisters in Christ and loved ones!!

"Your birthday is supposed to be a marking of time, an opportunity to look back on all that you've accomplished in the past year. For me, however, birthdays are a reminder of what I haven't accomplished and that another year has passed without that "success" having been reached." http://bit.ly/27fNq2n

I'm pretty sure this is how my momma (Patsy) makes it!!

A friend wrote this on her wall today, specifically for the women in her church family but I believe there is truth & it resounds deeply for all women! •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• My prayer over the ladies at The Well, and over all of my family & friends! I love you all so much!! Forgive us when we assume that what we see on the surface is all there is to your story. We know in our midst there are women and mothers who: Like Eve, have children with serious rivalry. Like Hagar, have been discarded for a new family and are mothering alone. Like Naomi, have tasted the bitterness of a child’s death. Like the mother of Leah and Rachel, knows what it’s like to have one child favored over another by society. Like Hannah, have been separated from your child at a young age. Like Mary, have a complicated pregnancy story or Like Tamar, have tried multiple ways to become a mother or Like Rachel, have counted the months and years while other women in your family and circle of friends become pregnant. Who like Rebekah, are drawn to one of your children more than the others. Like David’s mother, is raising children after God’s heart and though you rejoice in watching them, don’t want to rub it in friends’ faces. Like Ham’s mother have children whose substance abuse can cause problems. Like Bathsheba, have sick children who may die. Like Joseph and Benjamin, experienced the death of their mother. Like Mary, have children with public legal situations and all you can do is watch. Like the Shunammite woman when told by Elisha she would become pregnant, replied, “No, please do not mislead your servant!” Like her, not wanting to open doors to hope, only to have them slammed in your face. Like Hannah, have known the provoking of a family member. Like many, watched their mothers age and waste before their eyes. Like Moses’ mother, reluctantly gave up her child because it wasn’t safe for you to bring her child up herself. Or Who like Pharaoh’s daughter, were called to love and nurture children that weren’t yours by birth. Like Timothy’s mother and grandmother, are steadily and without much fanfare or recognition teaching your children about the truths of God, sowing seeds for eternity Like the unnamed women who never quite fit into the norms of society, either never marrying or having children, yet wanting to. You are in our midst. We are called to be a people who rejoice with those who rejoice and mourn with those who mourn. Today our stage is big enough to do both. For the seen and known joys of motherhood, we rejoice and smile and celebrate with you. For the seen and known suffering in motherhood, we ache with you. For the private unseen and unknown joys of motherhood, like Mary, may you treasure them in your hearts. And for the private unseen and unknown sorrows and suffering of motherhood, may you know you don’t always have to be happy in our midst. You are engraved on the palms of God, both the seen and unseen, held together by Him. •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••

My mom is a fighter, strong & courageous, a survivor. She is incredibly gifted in singing, playing the piano, writing songs & music, sewing, painting, writing, creating, crochet, knitting, quilting, and cooking. My mom has worked so hard for so long at countless, thankless jobs to provide for her children & grandchildren. She has made sacrifices beyond what any of us could comprehend and most of them we don't even know about. My mom is the strongest woman I know and I can only hope to be a small fraction of who she is! I am so very grateful for your love, sacrifice, and strength. I know you don't always (ok hardly ever) get the recognition that you deserve from us kids (and those around you) but I hope you know that your children rise & call you blessed! I love you, Mom!!! #family #mothersday #happymothersday #mom

So very true!! Don't let comparison to others (life, possessions, money, weight, beauty/looks, house, car, spouse, kids, etc) steal your joy!! We are all on a different journey with the Lord! •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• “But godliness with contentment is great gain, for we brought nothing into the world, and we cannot take anything out of the world. But if we have food and clothing, with these we will be content. But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation, into a snare, into many senseless and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evils. It is through this craving that some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many pangs." 1 Timothy‬ ‭6:6-10‬ ‭ESV‬‬
